Sigma Chi 80th a great success

It was an amazing night at the Westin. We had 165 people show up and Doug McWhirter got us kicked off right with an amazing story of Sigma Chi history. I am working to add that to our site. Tim Sanderson and Eric Thomson were on hand to give some newson our Capital Campaign and the SCCF work. Our MCees Chris Lydon and James Mitchener did an excellent job of mixing funny and fact. We will always remember the motorboat from brother Mahaney and the Muppets theme song for ET.

We had 11 tables of alumni for the event and were able to recognize brothers Jim Lawley and Andrew Stuart as our newest Significant Sigs. Jim becomes only the fourth Canadian brother to be Significant Sig and Order of Constantine. These awards will be presented at Grand Chapter in June. Tony Sanderson was awarded the Keith Wickwire Award for outstanding Alumni contribution, a well deserved honour. More news to come and check out pics on the 80th Anniversary FB page.

Special thanks to the organizing committee, Westin NS, Catherine Sanders for the slide show and Suzanne Christie and her team for the centrepieces, our MCees and everyone that joined in this amazing event.
